Got 2 love it: Paris

We have been to Paris – we actually stopped counting, how many times. Starting with the honeymoon a hundred and twenty years ago, in different seasons, with friends and by ourselves – Paris is Paris, what else can I say, really.

There is one flavor that we dreaded though: tourist-crowded, dry hot summer Paris. So today we said, ok, we shall not make any plans whatsoever, let’s just take whatever comes our way, wander about, let the children drag us to anything they lay their eyes upon and stop on every corner for ice-cream. We ended up having a great day with a tiny bit of everything: atmosphere, culture and even shopping. A kebab in Latin Quarters had to stand in for a traditional Parisian meal, but it performed its function excellently.

Tomorrow will see us pressing on south, deeper into the wine-stained map of France. Next stop: Bordeaux.
